As part of his civic duties to the artistic community, James Kalm occasionally gets drafted to perform some exhausting missions. At this years DUMBO Arts Festival he had the privilege of visiting over forty studios, galleries, performances and special projects, and selecting those which merited attention and awards. During this hectic marathon of aesthetics, your reporter was able to document a portion of the works, and he is hereby providing viewers with glances of the artists, their studios and the festivities. This video is the first of two reports on the DUMBO Arts Festival 2011.
